2026-05

8ship today announced the full launch of its one-stop Middle East logistics service for Chinese cross-border e-commerce sellers. The service covers four core Middle East markets: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Iraq, supporting both general cargo and sensitive goods including batteries, liquids, and powders.

Service Overview
├── Collection → Line haul → Customs clearance → Last-mile delivery
├── UAE (Dubai warehouse) · Saudi (Riyadh warehouse) · Egypt (Cairo warehouse) · Iraq (Baghdad warehouse)
├── Cargo types: General, battery, liquid, powder, branded replicas
├── Transit time: Shenzhen to Dubai 5-7 business days, to Saudi 7-10 business days
└── Service modes: Air freight / LCL sea freight / Overseas warehouse fulfillment

"The Middle East e-commerce market is growing rapidly, but logistics infrastructure and customs complexity have always been pain points for cross-border sellers," said the CEO of 8ship. "We spent two years building our own logistics network across four countries with local teams. Our goal is simple: make shipping to the Middle East as easy as domestic delivery."

Three key highlights of the service:

Full Cargo Type Coverage

With special cargo transport qualifications, 8ship can legally carry battery products, liquids (cosmetics, perfume), powders (food additives), and certain branded replicas. All transport solutions include professional packaging and reinforcement.

Deep Customs Network

The team has extensive hands-on experience with customs authorities across the Middle East, understanding each country's import policies and documentation requirements. The local team has already completed compliance adjustments for Egypt's 2026 customs update.

Synchronized Teams

China-based teams handle collection, customs declaration, and line haul arrangements while local Middle East teams manage customs clearance, sorting, last-mile delivery, and returns processing.

"We have already served over 200 cross-border e-commerce clients across apparel, 3C electronics, cosmetics, and home goods," said 8ship's operations lead. "We plan to open Turkey and Qatar routes in Q3."
